Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Foqos, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Pro Access
Foqos Pro is an optional auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. The price and subscription period are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for renewal within the preceding 24 hours. Manage or cancel your subscription in App Store account settings. Restore Purchases restores eligible purchases. Apple handles billing and refund requests. The Apple Standard License Agreement also applies.

On-device AI & models
AI generation runs locally on your device hardware using downloaded model files. Model downloads require internet access during setup. Ask Notes also offers an optional web lookup that you enable per question; generated content is provided as-is without guarantee of accuracy.

Data storage & backups
Foqos stores your library on your device. When iCloud is available for Foqos, it also synchronizes your library and its attachments through your private iCloud storage across your devices. Sync is not a substitute for a separate backup; keep exports of important work. You control iCloud availability in Apple device settings.

Your notes and AI processing live on your device. iCloud sync and the optional online features described below use external services. We do not sell your personal content.

Notes & media files
Your library is stored locally. When iCloud is available for Foqos, notes, meeting transcripts, drawings, and referenced attachments are synchronized through Apple in your private iCloud storage. We do not receive those files on a Foqos server. Apple manages this service under its own privacy policy. You can control iCloud access in your device settings, and export or delete items in Foqos. Deletions synchronize when your devices reconnect; independent exports and backups may retain copies.

On-device AI & Ask Notes
AI operations (summarization, rewriting, action items, and Ask Notes Q&A) use local models downloaded to your device. Prompts and note contents remain on your device during local generation. Web lookup is off by default. When you enable it for a question, Foqos sends the search query or requested URL to the relevant search provider or website and returns public web results to the app. Foqos does not use those requests for remote AI training.

Speech recognition
Talk Tiny and Talk Base transcribe audio on-device after their model files are available; speaker labeling also runs locally. System speech recognition uses Apple speech services and may send audio to Apple depending on the device, language, and service availability. Choose Talk for offline transcription. Recordings and transcripts saved in your library may sync through iCloud as described above.

Location services
Foqos requests your location when you choose to use GPS in the location editor. Address lookup and map features use platform geocoding and map providers and may send coordinates, addresses, or map-area requests to those services. Saved location tags become part of your note and may sync through iCloud. Opening a note does not request GPS access.

Permissions requested
Features that record audio, use the camera, read your photos or files, or use GPS request the corresponding system permission when needed. Recording can continue with the screen locked while a recording session is active. You can stop it in Foqos and revoke permissions in device settings. Denying a permission leaves unrelated note features available.

Diagrams, links, and web lookup
Choosing Render online for PlantUML sends that diagram’s source code to kroki.io to create an image. Saved previews can be reopened and exported offline. Web lookup sends your query or requested URL to the relevant search provider or website when enabled for a question; queries can include words from your request. Opening remote images, links, maps, or web previews makes requests to their hosts, which receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Those services apply their own privacy policies.

Memory, downloads, and fonts
Ask Notes can retain useful preferences and decisions in its local memory. Review, edit, or forget those memories in the app. Local AI prompts and inference remain on your device. Downloading models contacts their hosting providers, which receive standard network request information. Geist Mono is bundled with the app; selecting other fonts may download font files from Google Fonts. The website also loads its font from Google Fonts.

Purchases and diagnostics
Apple processes subscription payments. Foqos reads purchase and entitlement information to enable Pro and Restore Purchases; it does not receive your card details. Production builds do not log note contents, prompts, or model responses through the app’s debug logger. Apple may provide crash and diagnostic reports according to your system sharing settings. We do not use an advertising tracker in the app.

Contact and updates
Updated 13 September 2026. For privacy requests or questions, contact jeffreyoduroasante@gmail.com. Because we do not hold your private library on a Foqos server, manage its contents in the app and your Apple storage settings. Information you choose to email for support is used to handle your request; do not send private recordings unless you intend to share them.
