Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Foqos, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Pro Access
Pro Access is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks full application capabilities lifetime-wide. Purchases and billing are managed directly through the Apple App Store / Google Play Store.

On-device AI & models
AI generation runs locally on your device hardware using downloaded model files. Model downloads require internet access during setup. Ask Notes also offers an optional web lookup that you enable per question; generated content is provided as-is without guarantee of accuracy.

Data storage & backups
All user content, including notes, voice recordings, drawings, and locations, is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for configuring system backups (e.g. iCloud/Android Backup).

Foqos does not collect, transmit, store, or sell your notes, voice recordings, photos, or location data.

Notes & media files
All notes, canvas drawings, mind maps, voice recordings, and photos remain strictly on your local device filesystem. They are never sent to external servers by Foqos.

On-device AI & Ask Notes
AI operations (summarization, rewriting, action items, and Ask Notes Q&A) use local models downloaded to your device. Prompts and note contents remain on your device during local generation. Web lookup is off by default. When you enable it for a question, Foqos sends the search query or requested URL to the relevant search provider or website and returns public web results to the app. Foqos does not use those requests for remote AI training.

Speech recognition
Speech-to-text transcription is performed on-device using embedded models (e.g. sherpa_onnx). Audio streams are processed locally and stored in your device storage.

Location services
When you enable location tagging, Foqos retrieves your GPS coordinates to perform local/on-device geocoding for human-readable addresses (e.g., "Brooklyn, NY"). Your location coordinates are stored solely within your local notes database.

Permissions requested
Foqos requests Microphone, Camera, Location, Photos, and Files permissions only when you explicitly trigger features that require them. You can revoke permissions anytime in device settings.
